CrowdCast: An Open-Ended LLM VR Game
A VR game that the whole room plays at once, where the audience invents spells on their phones and an LLM writes them into the player’s world. Won first place at the MOLTEN Spatial Hackathon.
CrowdCast is a VR game that everyone in the room plays at once. One person in a Meta Quest defends a magical egg until midnight while everyone else casts spells at them from their phones, and new spell ideas are written into the running game by an LLM, usually within 10 to 20 seconds. Built in a single day by Sevan Brodjian, Jhan Liufu and Ilona Demler at the MOLTEN Spatial Hackathon during LA Tech Week 2026, where it won first place.
